6 Week Flat Tummy Results

Flatter Tummy in the Making!

"Ok. Not feeling amazing. I thought that I would have a flat stomach, thin thighs, and a small tight booty by now.

Hmmm, the photos say I have not reached my goal yet...

~ I feel better.
~ I have more energy.
~ My clothes fit better and have gone down a size (from 14 to 12)
~ I am stronger.
~ I can do exercises now that I could not do 6 weeks ago.
~ I can jog faster and longer than I could 6 weeks ago.
~ I am on the road. I am moving toward the body, mind, and spirit that I WANT to have.
~ I am a better wife and mother.
~ I have a better attitude.
~ I am hopeful.

Phew, I needed that!

I can get down with the numbers. This transformation for me, is about my attitudes and thoughts more than anything - because that is what needs to be changed in order for anything else in my life, including my body, to change and be the best it can be.

It's been a JOY to stop just wishing, hoping, and praying that I would lose weight and get in shape and to start DOING!

I feel energized, powerful, and more confident than I have in the past few years. I am not just getting my body back; I am getting my life back.

Holly, thank you. Not just from me but from my husband and my little boy. We're having a lot more fun and love now. Yay!!!

I can't see a big difference in the photos but here you go!"

After Yvette posted her photos on her ClubFYM Blog, she was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of support she received in comments left by her fellow Fit Yummy Mummy's!

Here are just a couple examples....

"Are you KIDDING?!? Oh MY GOD, Yvette! After only six weeks - your pictures are worth a MILLION words! Amazing, simply amazing! Way to GO!!!! Keep it up, girlie! You are living proof (and serious inspiration) to everyone, 1/2 naked pictures and all, that this program works - no bs, no smoke & mirrors, no magic pill - just a determination and commitment to a new lifestyle - new body, new attitude, new perspective on life!!! Rock on!" ~ Jennifer

"Yvette, are you looking at the same pictures we are?
I can TOTALLY see AMAZING changes!!
You definitely look leaner and more toned.
Your positive attitude is contagious :-)
I love everything you wrote!" ~ Cory

Yvette's Response:

"You yummy mummies ROCK!

You are so super encouraging. I cried! Really, how amazing are you????

I decided to look at the photos like they were someone else and what I would think or say - and I DID see changes and am excited to keep moving forward. I'm applying what Holly talked about the last coaching call and we'll see how much more gets worked away over the next six weeks!

I love you guys!"

A NEW Post Baby Body in just 6 weeks!

9 months to Lose the Baby Fat? Really?

I shared this quote in a recent newsletter that was taken right from a post pregnancy weight loss site:

"New moms need to remember that it took nine months to gain the weight - at least that much time needs to be allotted for the way back."

The cycling of such misinformation is preventing so many new and seasoned moms alike -from reaching sure and steady post baby weight loss.

Trust me I know! I too believed this. After Tyler was born, I was told I will lose excess weight over time - being fed the same line, 9 months on, 9 months off. Even worse.... it was also made clear that my body wold never be the same. I even remember packing up all my "skinny" jeans!

How discouraging is that!

Since then I found a solution and my passion as I have been helping moms to not only see that they could lose the baby fat, but achieve a brand new body in the process.

Many of the moms I work with are astounded by the fact that they are in better shape NOW - After having children.

About 3 weeks ago, I shared a Fit Yummy Mummy Success Story with you. New mom, Mandy, was so excited to share that she had achieved her pre-pregnancy weight a mere 15 weeks after the birth of her son.

I reached my pre-pregnancy weight this week - my son is only 15 weeks old - and everyone kept telling me - you put the weight on over 9 months, it will take you at least that long to take it off.

So my biggest regret at this point is not starting the Fit Yummy Mummy System sooner!

Thanks again for your encouragement and just being you. You amaze me how involved you are.

Please know that you have and are changing my life for the better!

I've always been told that I have 'baby fat' around my middle - not from having children but I had a belly as a kid it was just always there - you've made me believe that having a flat stomach and finding that inner skinny person is achievable - and I'm doing it.

Thank you thank you thank you. - I don't know what else to say..."

Mandy ~ Age 29, Mom to 5 month old son.

Here she is THEN - Just 15 weeks after the birth of her son and 3 weeks into Fit Yummy Mummy as she achieved reaching her pre-pregnancy weight....

Here is Mandy TODAY - after following Fit Yummy Mummy for 6 weeks and on her way to achieving a brand new post baby body!

Mandy is only 6 weeks into her Transformation....imagine what her 12 week results will reveal!

Mandy has done more than exceed her post baby weight loss expectations, she has also helped her entire family to create a healthier lifestyle and lose weight as well!

"I have achieved another one of my goals - although I know this will be an ongoing thing.

The goal.....To be an inspiration to my family and friends.

This story begins a few weeks ago when I started Fit Yummy Mummy - I sent my sister and my mom an email with the subject 'the _____ women are shrinking'.

I encouraged them to join me in a pact that involves all of us supporting each other in our weight loss efforts. We have weighed in every Friday since then - our goal date was last Friday when my Mom and Dad left for a cruise.

I started them off with a meeting - (we are all following different plans - whichever we find works for each of us) - I told them I was really excited because I am never going on another diet (because Fit Yummy Mummy is the answer to my prayers).

I gave them each a goodie bag with tools for success - a note pad and pen for journaling, measuring cups for portion control, a water bottle to encourage them to drink water.

A few weeks in, I encouraged my Dad to join us - he is very overweight and carries a dangerous amount of fat around his middle. In addition, he has high blood pressure, and a family history of diabetes. (He once called all his buddies to report that one of their friends had had a mild heart attack - and joked that they all thought it would be him (my Dad) that had the first heart attack - not a laughing matter). Dad said he would think about it - he doesn't want anyone to know that he is trying to lose weight.

Shortly after, my Mom reported that he had been eating healthier - but he was cranky. She reported each week that she thought that he had lost a few lbs.

Last week (our goal week) my Mom said that she caught Dad looking at himself in the mirror - he turned to her and said - "I haven't worn these jeans in years!' - he has lost 18lbs and Mom says he is in a much better mood now that he is seeing the results of his hard work!

My sister has lost 6lbs, my mom has lost 11lbs and I have lost 12lbs - we are all losers!

My family has lost 47lbs in 8 weeks!

We have all sworn to continue in our efforts to achieve our goal weight once Mom and Dad return from their cruise, and of course to support each other along the way." ~ Mandy

Cardio Health Better with FYM-style Training

............Without Long Hours of Cardio!

Yet another way Fit Yummy Mummy is changing the lives of women.

"In the spring, my sister and I schedule all of our summer hikes so I can coordinate time off from work. She’s an artist so she’s flexible. She also lives in Santa Fe which naturally gives Ana Maria an advantage when it comes to our high altitude hikes.

Typically, we hike from 7000 to 12000 ft. Santa Fe is already at 7000 ft so Ana Maria’s O2 capacity is already acclimated to those altitudes. I live at 4000 ft so come March; my cardiovascular training ramps up so I can be ready for our first hike. (I’m 7 years younger and I refuse to be gasping for air when she is not.) Usually I am very well prepared and she is gasping for air while I patiently wait for her to catch up.

But I returned to school this past year and I just couldn’t keep up with my training sessions. In fact, I had not trained since August of 2007. It was now April and I had only 8 weeks left before our first hike. And, I was still in school so I still couldn’t find the time to get back to the gym.

I chose to use Craig Ballentyne’s Turbulence Training which consisted of bodyweight training (no need for the gym) followed by high intensity interval training. I was also running 7-10 miles on my off days and hiking with 40 lbs on my back every weekend. I only had 8 weeks so I knew I had to work hard.

By the time our first hike came around, I felt ready. The hike which was a little “gaspy” last year was almost “easy” this year.

But, I was still worried about training once school started back up. I found Fit Yummy Mummy through Craig and thought I could learn how to better manage my time.

I put a lot of trust in what Holly taught and I jumped in.

I stuck with the training as outlined in the book with just an added hike here and there to keep me used to the weight on my back.

It’s now been 6 weeks of no drawn out cardio runs. Out of curiosity, I went for a quick 3 mile run just to see how it felt.

What a surprise!

Even though I was feeling a little bit of soreness from my last training session (reverse lunges, ugh!), I felt really GOOD! My breathing was hard but never felt forceful. My legs felt solid and light. Right in the middle I had to stop to get the stitch on my side worked out, but I started back up and the stitch never returned.

I felt I was running fast but didn’t realize how fast till I saw that I did 8 minute miles! That was the best time I’ve ever had. It could have been even faster if it wasn’t for that side stitch.

I’m FOREVER indebted to you Holly for teaching me how to train efficiently!"

Playground Workout Fit Yummy Mummy Style

Working out can be so fun!

Working out Fit Yummy Mummy style is is challenging, fun and versatile.

After hanging out at the park with me, the Fit Yummy Mummy's will never view a playground the same way again.

Last night I met Sheri, Brooke and Bethany at a local park here in Elizabethtown KY as a fun way to say Thanks for FYM Get Together a couple weeks ago.

I took the ladies through a challenging Fit Yummy Mummy workout making use of the playground equipment before them. Even though they gave me some funny looks when I demonstrated each move, as soon as the watch started ticking, they all went right to work!

The FYM's loved the variety and were surprised at just how challenging some of these moves can be - especially when performed FYM style!

From bleacher squats, bulgarian split squats and assisted pull ups, the workout left each of these determined FYM's breathless yet energized!

Yes, with enough energy to run some sprints afterwards. I made it fun by alternating "mode of travel" to get to one end of our destination - traveling lunges, power skips, karaokes - while sprints were performed on the way back.

With all the fun we had we were finished in under 30 minutes!
A nice change of pace especially when the weather was a beautiful as it was last night!

I challenge you.....
Take your FYM workout to the park and see how creative you can get!

Trudee lost 3 inches off her Mommy Belly

Results in just 5 weeks!

I have to admit, I was very skeptical of another fad internet program....

"Wow, wow, wow!

Fit Yummy Mummy is amazing!

I cheated and measured my baby pooch and I lost 3 inches or 10%!!!

I have to admit, I was very skeptical of another fad internet program, but I am now 100% convinced that FYM is a dream come true.

If you've been following me, I have a crazy life. I'm a single mom with two active kids and a more than full time stressful job. I signed up for Fit Yummy Mummy because I liked everything Holly said and whatever I was doing in the past just wasn't working (which was hour long workouts, and dieting so that I was weak with no energy at all).

I knew I needed something that supported healthy eating (real food) and exercise.

I'd been stuck for over 9 years, with the remainder of my belly pooch. With other programs, I would see some success but the program wouldn't be something that fit into my life (time, money or energy) and I could manage do it for a few weeks and then I'd quit and gain the weight back (I've started and stopped WW over 4 times). In fact, my kids and boyfriend were to the point that they would say "please don't diet, because you turn into such a bitchy monster".

So I've been plugging away at Fit Yummy Mummy for 5 weeks now, I'm so far from perfect and I have bad days/weeks, but I'm trying and everyones support has been so amazing. THANK YOU, I wouldn't still be here without you.

Here's how I've magically transformed (magically because it just happened along the way):

* Focus on how you feel, not the scale
(Holly herself and many other supporters).
I was checking the scale and bummed when I didn't see a change in that number. Now, I tell myself wow these shorts are really loose and then one day I dug out one of my skinny shorts that never fit and they fit great. My boyfriend also remarks that I'm looking great. I also focus on how I feel when I do my workouts The workouts melt away my stress once I start, even if I'm not in the mood. I added 25 ft to my hill intervals :) and it feels great. I always feel energized after my workouts.

* You don't have to be perfect

(Holly again and all the support).
I really did cry because I couldn't keep up with my FYM workouts while traveling. It was a demanding trip, up at 6am, bed at 11pm with kids and grandma. Then I had another business travel week where I could only manage to do the travel workout (which is awesome) and made bad food choices and drank way too much. Holly sent me a personal email and said "That's okay".

* Blog, blog, blog!
The support out there is amazing and sometimes it helps just to get your thoughts out there. I have bad days and good days. Sometimes life overwhelms me and I get down. Thank you everyone for keeping me going and making me want to log in :)

* Do the workouts!

I think that's what has given me such amazing results. I have to admit, I cheat on my diet. Sometimes there's a couple of nights that I have beer, and it's two, instead of one. Sometimes I eat the pasta salad. Sometimes I eat the huge cookie. I think the workouts have revved my metabolism because I'm still seeing results. Oh and push yourself, if you can do a superset and you're not out of breath, you're doing it wrong. Same for intervals.

I guess I could go on and on. I'm just so excited."

Back to School, Back to You

Tyler's 1st Day of 1st Grade

This morning my son Tyler went back to school, this time in the "big boy grade" - as he likes to call it - donning his new Batman backpack which held his school supplies and his new Scooby Doo lunch box - shaped just like the Mystery Van.

I can't believe this guy is in First Grade!

The summer passed way too quickly especially when it seems that Kentucky schools are back in session weeks before others. After I dropped him off I went back home to get some work done and I have to tell you, it is way too quiet now! I miss the kid who runs throughout the house - "thinking" about his latest Star Wars, Batman or Scooby Doo adventure.

Kids grow too dang fast! So if you have the luxury of a spending a few more weeks with your children before they go back to school, I sure hope you do so. Especially after this week, in preparing him to get back into the school routine...Tyler seemed a bit more independent...and I know that independence will continue to develop.

I'd also like you to think ahead to your plans once your children do go back to school. There are a few things worth considering.

For one, with the kids back in school, what type of time does this give back to you?

I know summer plans often take priority over our intentions of sticking to a fitness plan. So now is a great time to think about how you will use an extra hour or so a day to help you get back on track and into a routine that allows you to look and feel your best.

Another point to consider, I noticed how all the teachers made comments about how much Tyler has grown over the summer months. You know, our children are not the only ones who are are noticed as well.

What types of changes have you made?
A delicate topic to consider, but you know it happens.

Moms compare Moms. Now that you will be back into the school scene, what type of impression will you be leaving?

I know a lot of moms who are tired of being compared, tired of feeling ashamed, and tired of feeling like they have to hide behind everyone else for they feel embarrassed about how they look - the attention is really is greater when you attend school events - or do you tend to avoid getting involved because of these factors?

The time to make a difference is now.
Whether you have one week or even a whole month before school starts, the choices you make now can impact how you feel about yourself and in turn can bring about a more uplifting string of results for you.

4 Step Back to School Action Plan

1.. Renew Your Commitment
Before you even begin to schedule that first workout or plan your meals for the week, you must take a moment to revisit why you want to do this in the first place. When you have a strong reason WHY you want to make a change, you are more likely to stick with it.

If you have not yet done so, write your goals down and state your reasons why this is so important to you and post your goal sheet in a place where you can see it often. For a great Fat Loss Blueprint, be sure to log in to

2.Create a schedule
What time will you have available that can be spent on taking care of you?

Your workouts are just as important as the daily tasks that wind up in a slot on your schedule. When you write down your intentions, you are more likely to follow through.

(TIP: you do not need to block off a full hour if you do not have it. A simple 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there will suffice)

3. Give Your Kitchen a Once Over
Your workouts are only half the fat loss battle. What you are eating is the other. It will be extremely difficult to stay on track and see fast results if your kitchen is filled with junk. Toss the chips, cookies, candy, ready to eat boxed meals, sugar laden cereals, etc.

4. Do Something Different
Summer shcedules tend to create habits that get in the way of out fitness goals....from sleeping in, to skipping a workout for it is too hot or too pretty outside, to indulging in one too may summer treats. If you just begin by identifying one habit you created this summer and replace it with a habit that brings with it positive results, then you are moving in the right direction.

So instead of talking yourself into sleeping in again tomorrow, just think of how much more you can accomplish by waking up 10 minutes earlier - having that time just for you.

Put these 4 tips into action and you will kick start your Back to School Fitness plan - Making the all about getting Back to YOU.

Take the action that will allow you begin losing 1-2 pounds of fat per week. What an impression this will make as you get involved with the new events this school year has to offer....and the memories you help to create with your children are priceless!

FIt Yummy Mummy Get Together

Last week I attended the very 1st Fit Yummy Mummy get together in Elizabethtown, KY - yes I live here and yes I personally know a couple of the E'Town FYM's but I have not seen them in forever - Kelli, Bethany and Sheri are looking Awesome - so it was a nice reunion.

PLUS I had the pleasure of finally meeting Brooke, Marilyn and Sher's sister Michelle!

Sheri was gracious enough to hold this special event at her home - Thank you Sheri!

BTW: Sheri and Kelli are Fit Yummy Mummy Success Stories...Plus, Sheri was one of the Transformation Challenge finalists! To date each of these amazing women has lost well over 30 pounds each!

Everyone brought an appetizer or dessert - it was a "cheat night" so no restrictions on what was shared.

Brooke made the most delicious veggie pizza, Sheri had chocolate fondue for the Strawberries and along with a delicious mint-cucumber water, Marilyn and Kelli brought the fruity apps and desserts.

We shared so many wonderful experiences and stories....

From our families -

Dating stories from Brooke's daughter Regan
Bethany's belief in cloth diapers
Kelli's concerns about potty training
The fact that Marilyn does NOT look like she would have a 30 year old child!

To movies, recipe ideas and Beauty tips...All Thanks to Bethany - who has the coolest make up line "Beauty by Bethany" who is also donating beauty packages to the 2nd and third place winners of the Summer Transformation Challenge - Thank You Bethany!

I thought it would be nice to also give some gifts, so I held a drawing and Kelli won a Fit Yummy Mummy T-Shirt, Bethany won a Fit Yummy Mummy baseball cap all from the Fit Yummy Mummy store at Cafe Press!

PLUS....Everyone won a session to a special Fit Yummy Mummy Boot camp!

I had a blast and it was so great to share this time in person with the women I see online on a daily basis.

My big goals are to have the resources to hold larger FYM retreats so we all have an opportunity to get together as well.

I know our next event is a another shopping trip in Cincinnati in the Fall - from there I have to pull some strings to line up an even bigger event!

Thanks again ladies! You have helped to create some very special memories! You all do not know how much this means to me!

Join the fun.....Meet everyone at ClubFYM!

Be a part of our next Fit Yummy Mummy retreat coming this fall!

Challenge Provides new level of Motivation

I enjoyed myself? Wow...didn't think that would happen!

Well this is my first official week of the Summer Transformation Challenge.

"I started on July 28th and I can say that I feel great!

I have been doing the introductory workouts and intervals on the just gives me so much more energy.

Last night my kids were home when I exercised and they were just obsessed with watching me and wanting to get on the treadmill...which they did after I was done.

They were like, "wow, look at mom run".
I wasn't running, didn't want to kill myself the first week, but I was jogging at a nice pace.

I just felt amazing afterwards and it is a way to relieve my stress.

Here is to the first week on the Summer Transformation Challenge and to the rest of my life!"

~ Brittney, Age 27, Mom of two -- ages 3 and 6, Proud member of

Here's to FYM's Everywhere!

"I don't know how many American Idol fans are out there, but I remember watching an episode where Simon Cowell was commenting about how he couldn't fathom that someone was genuinely wanting their friend to do well in the competition (it was such an alien concept to him).

Well, I imagine Simon would be completely flabbergasted by this amazing community.

I mean here we are, a group of virtual strangers from around the world who are genuinely supportive of each other, who wish each other the best and hope and pray (yes, I pray for our entire community on a daily basis) that all of our goals are met and our deepest desires come true.

Although many of us are in the Transformation Challenge, I doubt there is going to be any sour grapes when the winners are announced.

I know I am cheering for us all and wish there was a way for us all to tie for first place.

Personally, I think we're all huge winners just for having the gumption to post those pictures and put ourselves out there for all to see and for taking the necessary steps to be the best that we can be.

I don't know how she's done it, but Holly has managed to attract a community of the most wonderfully caring, encouraging, supportive, positive, intelligent, and beautiful women around.

I am so proud to be a part of this community and I genuinely hope that each and every one of us unleashes her yummy-ness.

We all have much to be proud of, no matter what stage of our journey we are at. We are all gorgeous and deserve to have all of our dreams come true.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has touched my life through this community. I love you all and am proud to call you friend. I'm cheering for everyone in the Transformation Challenge as well as those who didn't enter. We are all worth it and we can make this happen, one step at a time, one day at a time."
